Indian Navy Day 2021

Every year on December 4, Indian Navy Day is observed to honour the sacrifices and accomplishments of our country's naval forces. The day is marked to remember the 1971 Indo-Pakistan conflict, in which the Indian navy sank four Pakistani ships. The 1971 Indo-Pak war was fought in order to liberate Bangladesh. The Indian Navy organises open sea swimming contests to commemorate the day, which is commemorated with tremendous zeal.

We are proud of the Indian navy's outstanding contributions. Our navy is internationally admired for its professionalism and bravery.
