The
World of Biometrics is changing rapidly with implementations of new
technologies. If we consider the biometrics technology few years ago,
we will find the usage and application with features were limited.
But now-a-days many modern technologies are implemented which has
made it a part of our day-to-day life. From office to corporate
buildings to security zones, everywhere it plays a vital role.
Biometrics
is not only limited to attendance machine, but it can be used for
access control and other applications like canteen management, gym
management and visitor management. Star Link India has implemented
and updated its systems and solutions according to the latest trend with upcoming advancements. Through this blog, I would like to focus
on few major improvements, done by Star Link India. These changes and
updations in their devices/machines and softwares have created a kind
of boon in the industry. These updations are user specific and make
the systems and solutions more versatile in uses.
1. GPRS/Wi -Fi
connectivity: Looking
at the complexities in LAN wiring and connectivity, Star Link made
their systems based on GPRS and Wi -Fi. Now, the attendance devices
can also be connected to the server through GPRS and Wi -Fi, which
allows it to use in far-off areas where there is no source of LAN
connectivity. Now, the usage of these machines is increasing more and
more as it can be used anywhere without worrying for its
connectivity.
2. Camera
for double verification: To
cross verify the presence of the employee and stop the proxy
punching, a camera is installed on the devices. As, sometimes other
employees use the other's card to mark attendance, but now the use of
the camera in the device helps to cross verify the attendance of
employee by clicking his/her image while punching.
3. Touch
screen device: In
the era of touch screen smartphones, Star Link India developed the
touchscreen attendance device. The touch screen sensitivity helps
easier user interface.
4. Data
Push Technology: Earlier
the data were to be fetched on a regular basis. But looking at the
usage, Data Push Technology has been implemented which pushes the
data (like punching details) from the machine to the server as soon
as the punching is done. This has helped with the fast processing of
data and records, reducing time loss.
5. Printer
incorporated into the machine: The
Industrial Device used for Canteen Management System, is featured
with the printer. While placing the order you have to show your Card,
which verifies your identity and thus a coupon is generated through
the machine. The printer works after your identity is verified and if
you want to print manually, it's not possible.
6. Web-based
software: Earlier
the Time Office Software, Visitor Management Software, Leave
Management System and Data Capture software were window based, so
they were limited to the number of PCs. But now these softwares are
available in Web-based, which allows the user to access the software
from any part of the world with internet enable devices. This major
change has really helped a lot to maintain the records of employees
from any part.
7. Card
Recharge option for Canteen Management System: A
recent implementation in the canteen management system is card
recharge options. This allows the employees to recharge their smart
cards with certain denominations. Now every time the employees use
that card for availing the service of the canteen, the amount is
deducted from that card.
8. Some
of other unique solutions: Looking
at the demands and needs of the clients, Star Link India developed
few solutions which were unique in itself. They are Gym management
system, Tea Garden Solutions, SMS Solutions and Online/Offline
Canteen management System.
Lastly,
Star Link India is still trying to implement some more technologies
in their systems and solutions which will be fruitful for the
industry. We aim to incorporate latest technologies to match up with
the recent trend in the market. So, if you are planning to update
your systems and solutions, get Star Link India is the right choice.
